Worship Streaming
I have not received any feedback about the quality of streamed worship. I can only conclude those who watch the services find them acceptable. I shall recommend that the Church Council takes no further action.

Know your Locality
The Thursday Ladies are going to the Haworth Art Gallery for their Christmas Meal. I was surprised to hear that a life-long Clayton/ Rishton resident was looking forward to the visit as she had never been to the Gallery.
It houses an internationally important collection of Tiffany Glass; the largest outside the USA.
I wonder how much we know about the places on our doorsteps?
The nine parks in Hyndburn
The walk along the canal passes the Coke Ovens at West End and back from Church across the former Council Tip
The walk round Dean Clough Reservoir
The 'Tin Men' at York overlooking Langho.
The Millennium Wood between Clayton and Altham
I am only scratching the surfaces of places for a short walk.

Afternoon Tea & Film !
At Rishton Methodist Church.
Wednesday15th November at 2pm
Finding Your Feet
British romantic comedy film directed by Richard Loncraine and written by Nick Moorcroft and Meg Leonard. The film stars Imelda Staunton, Timothy Spall, Celia Imrie, Joanna Lumley and David Hayman, and was released on 23 February 2018 in the United Kingdom.
The website's critical consensus reads, "Finding Your Feet wears its heart on its sleeve, elevating undemanding material with a feel-good romance and sweet performances from its over-qualified cast."
Share tea and a chat with friends !
The film will start at 2pm and
afternoon tea served about 3.45pm.
Come for both or just for tea!
No charge just donations towards the cost of afternoon tea.
Food Bank thanks from Dorothy Casey
On behalf of Our Foodbank I would like to thank you for donating so much food to Our Foodbank. Our Foodbank has now been running for over 7 years and we deliver to clients in Great Harwood, Rishton, Clayton le Moors and Altham. Our deliveries are made to those who are referred to us by agencies such as doctors, church ministers, social services or anyone who comes to us and tells us of someone who is in need of food or maybe other services where we can help or can signpost where help can be given. Individuals in need can also request a parcel, for a short period. Each client is most grateful for the parcel of food we bring them and often only need two or three parcels to get back on their feet and become independent once more.
Thank you again for your care and support. Yours sincerely, Dorothy Casey (Our Foodbank)
TRINITY BAZAAR 2023 Saturday November 18th from 10.00am until 3.00pm

Closing date for notices
It would be helpful if all notices for Sunday November 19th could be in by the evening of Wednesday November 15th. Please send them to: steveruth.colling@gmail.com 07958 036736 or tunstallsharon2@gmail.com mobile 07930930514.
Preacher next week
The preacher for next Sunday 19th November at 10:30 will be: Rev Dr Mark Jason and the steward will be Marian Heap.
AND FINALLY.
A friend asked me, " If you were stranded on a desert island and you could have 3 records which would you pick?" I told him that the one for long-distance swimming would, most definitely, be my first choice!
Remembrance Day Prayer
Help us, who today remember the cost of war, to work for a better tomorrow; and, as we commend to you lives lost in terror and conflict, bring us all, in the end, to the peace of your presence; through Christ our Lord.
Amen
